Complete the Customer Billing Profile

Complete the billing profile so invoices use the right billing name, address, logo, and payment terms for the customer workspace.

Why this profile matters

The customer billing profile is not just profile data. It affects how the customer side appears on invoices and other billing-facing records in the workspace.

If this profile is incomplete, invoice output is more likely to need manual correction and billing reviews take longer.

  • Billing name used in customer-facing billing context
  • Address and country details used for invoice accuracy
  • Payment terms shown in billing workflows
  • Optional billing logo used on invoice output
  • Additional expense visibility and invoice review context across the workspace

Before you start

  • Use a customer admin account if you want to edit the billing profile
  • Make sure Billing is enabled for the workspace
  • Keep the official billing name and address ready
  • Have a clean logo file ready if you want it displayed on invoices

What to fill in

  • Billing Name
  • Service Name if your team uses one
  • Address Line 1 and supporting address fields
  • City, country, and optional postal and state details
  • Payment Terms such as Net 30 or Due on receipt
  • Billing logo if you want a branded invoice header
  • Any billing details your company side expects to see on invoice review

How Additional Expenses appear on the customer side

Customer billing-side users now have a read-only Additional Expenses view when billing is enabled.

This shows non-task customer charges that the company side added for the workspace, along with pagination and whether each expense has already been invoiced.

  • Customer admins, project managers, and billing managers can review the expense list
  • Customer users do not edit or delete additional expenses
  • Invoice status on the expense row helps explain whether the charge is still upcoming or already billed

Recommended setup order

  1. Complete the required text fields first.
  2. Save the billing profile once so the workspace can calculate profile completion properly.
  3. Upload the billing logo after the basic details are saved.
  4. Review the latest invoice preview later to confirm the customer-facing details look right.

Best way to get the strongest invoice result

  • Use the exact legal or billing-facing customer name your finance team expects
  • Use a high-quality logo with simple spacing and a clear background
  • Keep payment terms short and explicit
  • Review the profile again after any customer legal-entity or billing-address change

What benefit it delivers

  • Cleaner invoice identity
  • Less billing correction work later
  • More reliable customer-facing billing records
  • A more complete customer workspace
