Use the Customer Dashboard

Use the customer dashboard to create tasks, filter delivery work, review status, and leave customer-side comments in the correct workspace and project.

What the customer dashboard is for

The customer dashboard is the main working screen for customer users when task tracking is enabled. It gives the customer team a direct way to see ongoing work, create new requests, review progress, and follow invoice-linked task activity.

It keeps customer follow-up inside the same workspace instead of pushing delivery conversations back into email threads.

  • Create customer-side tasks
  • Review task status and priority
  • Filter work by project, month, invoice state, or urgency
  • Add customer comments on specific tasks
  • See high-level delivery and billing indicators in one place
  • Review release, sprint, and backlog work for the selected project

Before you start

  • Your customer workspace must be active
  • Task Tracking must be enabled for the workspace
  • At least one task type rate should exist if you want to create new tasks
  • If you have more than one project, use the project switch in the top navigation to move between them

What you can do here

  • Create a task with title, task type, priority, and expected due date
  • Use saved views like urgent work or due this week
  • Apply advanced filters for status, priority, task type, month, and invoice state
  • Open task details and add comments
  • See whether work is already invoiced or still pending
  • Review the release and sprint board when a project is selected

Best way to use it

  1. The first available project is selected automatically when the workspace loads.
  2. Switch projects from the top navigation when you need a different delivery stream.
  3. Use clear task names so the delivery team and customer team can identify work quickly.
  4. Use comments for clarifications or decisions that should stay attached to the task.
  5. Use invoice-state filters before billing reviews so you can separate invoiced work from new work.
  6. Open the dedicated Sprints or Backlog pages when you want a cleaner project-only review.

What blocks editing

  • If the customer workspace becomes inactive or pending deletion, the dashboard becomes read only
  • If no task types are configured yet, customer users can still review work but cannot create properly typed tasks
  • If Task Tracking is not enabled, the dashboard route is not the main working path for the customer

What benefit it delivers

  • Cleaner customer-side request tracking
  • Less confusion about current task status
  • Faster delivery follow-up with comments attached to the right task
  • Better visibility before billing and support discussions
  • More structured release and backlog visibility for project reviews
