Use customer billing details, task rates, and completed work to generate invoice drafts, review them, and track payment inside Curoxi.

What the invoice flow uses

Invoice generation works best when customer billing details, pricing, and delivery records are already in good shape.

Curoxi keeps those pieces connected so the billing team can review the actual work, supporting charges, and invoice output in one flow.

  • Customer billing profile details
  • Configured rates and completed billable work
  • Invoice draft, approval, send, and payment tracking
  • Additional expenses linked to the customer workspace
  • Project attendance for resource-billing projects

Before you start

Treat invoice generation as the final billing step, not the starting point.

  • Complete the customer billing profile
  • Confirm rates are configured for the relevant work
  • Check that delivery tasks are ready for billing
  • Review any additional expenses that should appear on the invoice
  • If the project uses resource billing, complete attendance for the month first

Invoice types you can generate

Curoxi supports both task-based billing and resource-based billing.

Task-based billing uses completed billable tasks and configured task rates. Resource-based billing uses approved project attendance for the selected month.

  • Task invoices use completed work, task type, rate, and invoice rules
  • Resource invoices use attendance hours from the selected project and month
  • Additional expenses can be included as separate non-task line items
  • Generated invoices keep payment status and send history inside the workspace

GST, invoice identity, and tax split

Invoice identity and tax treatment are based on the billing details already stored in the workspace.

When both the buyer GSTIN and seller GSTIN are available, Curoxi derives the state code from each GSTIN and applies IGST or CGST plus SGST automatically.

  • Seller GST details come from the superuser billing profile
  • Buyer GSTIN comes from signup or the company profile when available
  • Same-state GSTINs use CGST and SGST split
  • Different-state GSTINs use IGST
  • Invoice output includes subtotal, discount, taxable amount, tax amount, and final total

What good setup gives you

  • Fewer billing corrections later
  • Cleaner invoice line items tied back to the actual work
  • Easier approval and payment follow-up inside the same workspace

Recommended invoice flow

  • Do not generate customer-facing invoices before rates and billing profile details are checked
  • Review invoice content after any recent rate change
  • Use payment tracking in Curoxi so account status stays visible
  • Once a month has been billed from attendance, that attendance month is locked for editing
  • Customer-side additional expenses stay visible as read-only billing context for customer admins, project managers, and billing managers
  1. Open the invoice area for the selected customer workspace.
  2. Generate a draft invoice.
  3. Review line items, billing period, customer details, and payment terms.
  4. Approve the invoice when the billing review is complete.
  5. Send the invoice from the invoice workflow.
  6. Record full or partial payments when money is received.
