Track Project Attendance

Use project attendance to record check-in and check-out time for resource-billed projects, review monthly totals, and lock months once billing is completed.

What attendance is used for

Project attendance is designed for resource-billed delivery projects. It records who worked, on which day, and for how long, then feeds invoice generation for that billing month.

  • Check-in and check-out tracking by assigned project member
  • Current week and current month hour totals
  • Attendance-backed invoice generation from the invoice page
  • Month lock after billing is completed

Attendance rules that matter

  • Check-in time must be earlier than check-out time
  • Present attendance requires both check-in and check-out
  • Company holiday rules can block weekends or holidays from check-in
  • Once the month has been invoiced, attendance for that month can no longer be edited

How the page works now

  • The calendar highlights weekends and configured holidays
  • Edit Attendance uses a compact half-hour time picker
  • Invoice generation is triggered from the invoice page, not from the attendance page
  • The attendance page shows the active billing period and lock status

Best operating practice

  • Review hours before generating the monthly invoice
  • Keep holiday rules updated before the month begins
  • Use notes sparingly for exceptions or manual clarifications
  • Treat the billed month lock as final unless the invoice itself is reversed
